Judith has built her career developing desirable and innovative product ranges with great commercial success. Over the last 25 years she has worked with some of the UK’s biggest high street retailers including: John Lewis, Debenhams, House of Fraser, Laura Ashley, Bhs, Homebase, Tesco, Argos, Sainsburys, Marks and Spencer and Next.
Today she offers clients the opportunity to benefit from her substantial skills and experience without the commitment associated with full time employment. As a freelance developer and business consultant working with manufacturers, importers and retailers she has the flexibility to undertake long term projects or add value on one-off briefs. She enjoys working alongside established teams or is happy to operate independently.
Judith is creative, with a passion for trends and design, whilst her business acumen ensures that her products always deliver in terms of both style and profitablity.
Her experience ranges across all product areas of home including: bed linens, tabletop, wall art, soft furnishings and decorative accessories. This breadth of interest allows her to work for a host of clients without any conflict of interest. Judith is based in Farnham, Surrey with easy access to London.
Creating seasonal trend directions for manufacturers and importers, targeted to their product areas and specific markets. Presentations include mood boards, design concepts and colour palettes to inform new product developments.
Sourcing and Range Building
Building bespoke ranges of expertly curated lifestyle products. Sourced from factories in the Far East, India, UK and Europe. Development of ranges from scratch or the organic growth of already established collections with the addition of carefully considered pieces. Balancing product selections in order to maximise commercial success.
New Product Development
From the initial research phase all the way through to managing the critical path to delivery Judith will take full responsibility for the product development process. Market research, sales analysis, design concepts and briefs, liaising with factories, sample manufacture, packaging, POS, cost and pricing negotiation all fall within Judith’s area of expertise.
Working with manufacturers and importers to identify potential new UK customers. Arranging and attending meetings with buyers and building good, long term, working relationships. Judith will take sole responsibility for National Accounts or can support her clients’ existing sales team.
